Owner and Therapist
Shannon Forcucci-Earnest, LISW
Hi!
You’re probably wondering if I’m the right therapist for you. Regardless of the letters behind my name and the experience I have, I think it’s so important in the therapeutic relationship to find a therapist who you connect with. Someone who understands you, respects your choices, and supports your growth. With a little bit of humor, and a lot of empathy, I’m here with you!
I have been a therapist for over ten years, and I absolutely love it. While most of my career has been working with teenagers, young adults, and families, I also have experience working with older adults. If you’re ready to talk, I’m here to listen.
My areas of interest and experience include:
anxiety
depression
low self-esteem
loss and grief
trauma
adjustment issues
LGBTQIA+ clients
clients of color
foster care/adoption
suicidal ideation
self-harming
In my non-work life I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, loving all animals, watching horror movies, spinning yarn on my spinning wheels, knitting, creating miniature dioramas, reading, listening to podcasts, hiking, camping, thrifting, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
My Approach
I believe everyone deserves to be the happiest and most authentic version of themselves (even if you don’t know who that is yet), and that no one should settle for “Good Enough.” Your past does not dictate your future, your present decisions do.
Therapy is a process. There are no quick fixes, and you definitely get out of it what you’re willing to put into it. It’s ok if that takes time. The values I bring into my office and practice, are mutual respect, empathy, kindness, honesty, humor, patience, and acceptance.
I love finding the best and most resilient strengths and qualities in every client, and then helping them see those qualities in themselves, and using them to achieve their goals. I believe that everyone is capable of the greatness they want and the happiness they strive for.
